These six strand divisible light reflecting threads, have a metallic glint and are available in 8m skeins. Light Effects features 6 creative thread families:

Precious Metal Effects : rich gold and silver effects

Antique Effects : gilt finishes and antique metals to add a vintage look

Please remember that the colours shown here can never be exactly the same as the actual threads and will depend on your screen settings.

Care of DMC Light Effects Threads

It is best to use short 12 inch lengths of Light Effects, to prevent the thread becoming frayed and avoid tangling.

For washing it is important to follow the manufacturer's recommendations for the fabric onto which the Light Effects thread has been stitched. Washable pieces stitched with Light Effects can be washed with mild detergent, in warm water (not to exceed 105°F). Do not use bleach. Wrap in a towel to remove excess moisture. Do not wring. Then lie flat to dry. Do not tumble dry. Iron on low setting, if needed.
