Free Christmas Candle Pattern

The Christmas Candle pattern was worked on 14 count aida fabric with Anchor stranded cotton. We used two strands for the cross stitch and the backstitch.

Free Christmas Candle Pattern

Christmas Candle Colour Key

The shades used are shown in the pattern key, along with the shade numbers.

Red (shade 47) is used for the candle and yellow (291) for the flame. Dark green (228) and light green (226) for the holly leaves and red for the berries. The holly leaves are outlined in black (403) backstitch.

The Completed Christmas Candle

The completed Christmas Candle cross stitch is shown on the right.

The materials required are a piece of 14 count aida (size 4 inches square), a tapestry needle (size 24) and Anchor stranded cotton in shades 47, 291, 228, 226 and 403.
