Light grey (shade 343) is used for the dolphin's back, with a contrasting "stripe" of dark grey (921). Dark grey is also used for his flippers, fin and tail.
Pale grey-blue (1031) is used for his underbelly.
Medium turquoise-blue (1038), blue (146), turquoise blue (161) and pale turquoise-blue (9159) are used for the sea.
There are "splashes of water" throughout the design, which are stitched in pale turquoise-blue and white (1).
The outline is backstitched with 2 strands of light navy (1036).

Materials RequiredThe threads required for our free cross stitch Dolphins chart are Anchor stranded cotton shades 343, 921, 1, 1031, 1038, 146, 161, 9159 and 1036. You will also need a piece of 14 count white aida fabric size 7 x 5.5" (18 x 14 cm) and a size 24 tapestry needle. The Completed Dolphins Cross Stitch

We mounted it in an 8" x 6" white greetings card, but it is also suitable for framing as a small picture.
