Needlepoint Tapestry Introduction

We hope that this page will give you a flavour of the projects in our tapestry needlepoint sections. Many of the kits are worked in simple half cross stitch, using tapestry wool.

Tapestry Stool Tops and Cushions

There are tapestries which can be framed as pictures or hung as wall hangings or bell pulls. Alternatively you can work a stool top or cushion front, like the Coleshill Collection design on the left. Stool tops and cushions are worked with tapestry wool in either tent stitch or cross stitch. This gives good coverage of the canvas and stands up better to wear. Long Stitch Kits

Long Stitch is particularly quick and easy to do. The design is normally stamped on the canvas which is worked in long stitches with wool, between the printed lines. The resulting textured effect is very striking. Please click long stitch to see more long stitch kits.
