Winnie the Pooh cross stitch kits are based on those famous books of Aian Alexander Milne, which were beautifully illustrated by Ernest Shephard. A.A. Milne wrote initially for his son Christopher Robin around 1924, in Sussex, England.
The Winnie the Pooh books were so popular they became best sellers worldwide and have been translated into almost every language. They were also favourites of Walt Disney's daughters, which led to Winnie's cinema screen debut in 1966.
