Course descriptionIntroduction
The title 'Teaching Assistant' is a general title given to Classroom Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and Special Needs Assistants within a school setting. Teaching Assistants work with teachers in classrooms within Primary, Special and Secondary schools supporting the child's learning. Some may have a general support role while others will have specific responsibilities for an individual child or age group.

This qualification will enable learners to develop the knowledge and skills needed when supporting teaching and learning in schools. It covers a wide range of areas including;
