The cost of a driving licence

Driving licence fees vary depending on the type of driving licence you are applying for. Find out the cost of a driving licence (if any) and if you can apply online.

First GB driving licence

First provisional - car, motorcycle, moped	£50.00
First full GB licence in exchange of a full European Community/European Economic Area (EC/EEA) or other foreign licence (including Channel Island and Isle of Man)	£50.00

When applying to change your name or address on your driving licence, if you have lost your paper licence or any or both parts of your photocard licence, and or wish to renew your photo, the fee is £20.
